Peanut butter and chocolate is a winning combination, and it's definitely popular in our household. During the Easter weekend, I was browsing store aisles looking for the perfect organic peanut butter chocolate treat, and then I decided to just make my own instead!

My daughter likes Justin's Organic Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups, and I do as well. I also like the Unreal Dark Chocolate Coconut Peanut Butter Cups. In a future post I will include a simple recipe for peanut butter cups that you can make at home. However, this chocolate peanut butter dessert is the next best thing!

This recipe is the perfect combination
of chocolaty, nutty, sweet, and salty.
It takes only six ingredients to make!
Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • One 10 oz package of semi-sweet chocolate chips. (I used a dairy, nut, and soy free brand.)

  • 1/4 tsp sea salt
  • 1 oz lightly salted peanuts

Instructions

  5. Line a baking sheet or shallow baking dish with parchment paper, and spread chocolate evenly.
  6. Distribute peanuts equally atop chocolate.
  7. Sprinkle sea salt over chocolate and peanuts.
  8. Set in refrigerator or freezer to harden for 1 hour.
  9. Once hardened, break or cut into pieces/bars.
