Thai Chick'n Pizza

I was at Whole Foods and saw the Thai Basil Slow Roasted Chick'n. I have used Tofurky in many of my recipes; however, this is the first time I noticed the Thai Basil version. I was beyond excited to try it out, and since I wanted to make a pizza I knew I had found my main ingredient.

I am a huge fan of the Tofurky Slow Roasted Chick'n. The product is amazing and always works in all of my "chick'n" recipes. This one is no exception. The Thai Basil seasoning is the perfect balance of heat and bold flavor.

I love using Daiya cheese, and I normally use it in my pizza recipes, but this time I wanted to try something different. I am so glad that I did. Kroger was having a huge sale on the tree nut cheese, so I used herb garlic flavor. It is very savory, creamy, and soft and blended well with the flavors in the chick'n.

Ingredients
  • 1 Traditional Pizza Crust
  • 2 tbsps Herb Garlic Treenut Cheese
  • 1/2 cup organic red onions
  • 1/2 cup Tofurky Slow Roasted Thai Basil Chick'n
  • 1/2 cup of Baby Arugula
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

Instructions   
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Prepare Chick'n as stated on the package. Pour into bowl. Let cool.
  3. Brush crust evenly with olive oil.
  4. Smooth treenut cheese atop olive oil.
  5. Sprinkle onions over cheese.
  6. Bake for 8-10 min.
  7. Remove pizza from oven and garnish with chick'n and arugula.
  8. Serve and enjoy! Refrigerate remaining pizza. It tastes great cold as well!
