Well, I recently wrote a post about The Beyond Burger coming to Georgia. I actually didn't know it had even made it to Georgia until people started posting about it online. When I saw that is was at Whole Foods, I had to go check it out. It's one thing to read about it, but I figured I might as well experience it for myself. The company's website says it is sold in the meat section, but when I purchased it at Whole Foods, it was in the plant based food section...nowhere near the meat. But anyway... I made my purchase, and I definitely have to say that it does look like ground beef. I have read several posts from vegans saying they will not buy this plant based burger because it is too similar to meat. Well, it is 100% plant based, and if it saves animals from being tortured and slaughtered and helps people transition to a plant based diet by having quality products to choose from, then I am all for it! I am still scratching my head trying to figure out how Beyond Meat did this. I posted a video on my Instagram page and on my Facebook page showing the burger actually cooking. It's pretty impressive. Now for the nutrition information: Serving Size 1 Patty, 4 oz (113g) Servings Per Container: 2 Calories: 290 Total Fat: 22g Saturated Fat: 5g Cholesterol: 0mg Sodium: 450mg Total Carbohydrate: 6g Dietary Fiber: 3g Sugar: 0g Protein: 20g GMO-Free Soy-Free Gluten-Free The taste is just like a beef burger, and I haven't eaten one of those in many years. It's tender, juicy, perfectly seasoned, filling, and a great source of protein. Well done, Beyond Meat. I will be heading back for more very soon! What do you think of the Beyond Burger? Sound off below!

Wow! That is not currently offered at my Whole Food location! I wish it was offered in the prepared foods section. I am going to ask about it.

Four thumbs up on Beyond Burgers. My carnivore husband couldn't tell the difference between the BB and a beef burger.
